I’m not usually one to jump on a popular band wagon, but I’ve decided to make an exception. I’ve got two words for you. Salted. Caramel. Put them in front of anything and it suddenly makes it sounds magical. Salted Caramel Latte. Salted Caramel Cupcake. Salted Caramel Fart. Ok, just kidding about that last one but you get the point. Let’s make some magic!
8 slices sourdough
1 cup caramel sauce
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tsp of sea salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 TBSP butter
Turn your broiler on and get started slicing some bread.
Spread some happiness, aka caramel. Broil for a few minutes to get a lil crispy.
Mix cream, eggs, vanilla and salt together.
Slice the bread into little pieces and place in a buttered ramekin for baking. Drizzle on a lil’ bit more caramel if you are feeling adventerous.
Place ramekins in another baking dish with water filled halfway. Evenly divide the milk mixture between the dishes.
Bake in a 400 degree oven for 35 minutes and serve warm.
