It’s Meatball Stew

Once again, I have become infatuated with meatballs. They might be my favorite food. I hope you are prepared for all this that is about to come your way.

For the balls:

1 slice of white bread

8 oz ground beef

4 oz Italian sausage

1 egg

1 tbsp Italian parsley

salt n pepa to taste

For the stew:

1 tbsp flour

4 tbsp olive oil

1 small onion, sliced

1 large red pepper, cut into strips

salt n pepa

1/2 mushrooms, sliced

4 to 5 red potatoes, sliced

4 oz trimmed green beans

15 oz can diced tomatoes

1 1/2 cups chicken broth

crushed red pepper to serve

I just need to do an honerable mention. Look at all  this pretty veg.

Mix all the ball ingredients together in a bowl. Mush together with your hands.

Roll some balls.

Heat up a frying pan on medium heat and add 2 tbsp of the olive oil. Coat the balls in the flour.

Cook until all side are brown about 6 to 8 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a stockpot heat up the other 2 tbsp of olive oil. Saute the onions. Season with salt n pepa.

Throw in the mushrooms.

Then add the peppers, potatoes and beans.

Add the meatballs then coat in the tomatoes.

Add the broth to cover all ingredients. Cook for 20 to 40 minutes. Cook time depends on doneness of the balls. No one like raw balls for dinner.

Season with the crushed red pepper. This is really an amazing dinner. Please try it.
