Lasagna Rolls

My little boo loves all things Italian, but how many times can you eat regular lasagna? Let’s roll it up baby!

package of lasagna noodles

14.5 oz can crushed tomatoes

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 pound sausage

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg

4 cups spinach

small package of ricotta

1/2 cup grated pecorino romano

salt n pepa

I already know what you are thinking … cinnamon and nutmeg, wth? Just do it! Heat up a pot of salted water for the noodles. Heat up a small pot with the crushed tomatoes. Heat up another pot to cook the sausage. Isn’t my ensemble lovely?

Season the meat with the cinnamon and nutmeg. Saute spinach.

Add the cream to the tomato sauce.

Lay out the cooked pasta so it can cool enough to handle.

Spread on some ricotta.

Add meat and spinach mixture.

Roll it up!

Holy moly! Top with some pecorino romano and bake @ 375 for 10 minutes to heat thrrough.

Top with warm sauce and serve ASAP, unless you already took a bite. I might speak from experience.
