Mutant Brownies

Well if you didn’t know, now you know. That is, that I’ve gone whacko. I see these things being created on tv and I instantly have to know what they taste like. These brownies are originally called “Knock You Naked Brownies”, but after tasting one I immediately knew they were not of this planet.

1 box chocolate cake mix

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

1/3 and 1/2 cup evaporated milk

1/2 cup melted butter

60 unwrappped caramels

1/3 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl mix up the cake mix, 1 cup of the pecans, and 1/3 cup of the evap. milk.

Pour in the melted butter and stir well. Remove big ball from the bowl and cut into two even halves.  I’m not even going to say what I’m thinking because you already know.

Roll out one half flat and press into a well greased up baking dish.

Bake for 9 minutes. While that happens, melt the caramel. First you gotta unwrap them. Hopefully all 60 make it into the bowl. You can melt in a double boiler or put a glass bowl over a pot of boiling water.

Add the 1/2 cup of evap milk.

While this melts your first half should be done baking.

Time to funkify this dessert. Pour the caramel over the top.

Sprinkle with the remaining pecans and ad the choco chips.

Roll out the second half as flat as possible and put it on top of the caramel mixture.

Mine didn’t get too flat so this is what I got. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until done. Let cool. Sprinkle on a lil powdered sugar becuase these brownies don’t have enough sugar in them.

Ooh mama like!
