Anything wrapped in lettuce can become scrumptious. Enough said, let’s cook!
1 lb. ground turkey breast, lean
1 red onion
1/4 tsp of each – lemon pepper, cinnamon, cloves, cumin
1/2 tsp paprika
3 cloves garlic
1 inch piece of fresh ginger
2 tsp tamari soy sauce
3 tsp rice vinegar
2 tsp black bean sauce
1 tsp agave
** for garnish **
1/2 tsp sesame seeds
head of lettuce
shredded cabbage and carrots
Warm some oil in a large pan on medium heat. In a food processor, blend onion and carrot. Add to a pan and saute.
After a few minutes, add the turkey.
Toss in lemon pepper, cinnamon, cloves, cumin & paprika.
Should take maybe 10 min to cook. Don’t waste any time, make the sauce pronto! Place garlic, ginger, soy sauce, black bean sauce, rice vinegar and agave in a food processor. Blend until saucy. Here is where I had to do a pan change so just start with one big pan and save yourself the trouble. Pour over cooked meat.
Let the ingredients simmer together until warm.
Serve in a piece of lettuce with rice, hot sauce and sesame seeds. Shove into your pie-hole and delight in the taste of these flavors.
