I heart Matcha and with it being the main ingredient in these cookies, I’m in love. Let’s do some baking with green stuff that’s legal.
3/4 cup powdered suagr
1 1/2 tbsp powdered matcha green tea
5 oz unsalted butter @ room temp
1 3/4 cup flour
3 large egg yolks
1/2 cup turbinado sugar (for coating your cookays)
a cute cookay cutter
So mix the powdered sugar and matcha.
Add the butta.
Add the flour. Mix.
Add the yolks.
Mix well until you start to get dough. Roll out and then form a ball. Wrap your ball in plastic. I only had foil so this is what you get from me.
Can you believe the color? Just amazing!
Place your ball in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm it up. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, remove dough from fridge and roll it out. Covere baking sheets in parchment paper. Make shapes … I mean do I have to tell you everything! 🙂
Coat each cutout in the sugar. I used turbinado, a molasses sugar. It’s crunchy and you don’t have to use a lot.
Place on baking sheet.
Cook 12 to 15 min until you get cookies.
Aren’t they cute?
I enjoyed dipped in warm green tea and it was Duh-vine!
