Savory Bread Bowls

Yes, it is hard for me to follow a recipe like I am supposed to. So what! I’m a chick and we do things the way we want to and can’t nobody change that. So here is my interpretation of breakfast baguettes since I could not find the ingredients I was supposed to use and I was not about to let go of this dream!

4 bread bowls

6 egg yolks, 4 egg whites (so 4 whole eggs, and separate 2, using only the yolks and saving the extra whites for breakfast or something)

3 tbsp mascarpone

4 slices pastrami

2 oz. smoked gouda

2 green onions

salt-n-pepa

Heat up the ov to 400 degrees. Cut a whole in each bread bowl to make room for the gooeyness. Don’t screw it up and puncture the bottom, that would be really messy later!

Now mix the eggs, mascarpone, onion, half the cheese and the salt-n-pepa.

The sah-moked gouda smells amazing! Place bowls on a baking sheets and fill up each one with the egg mixture. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.

Cover each one with a piece of pastrami and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove from oven and let cool before you stuff your face. Crunchy bread, crispy pastrami and a gooey inside to make any cold night just a little more tolerable.

Sprinkle with a teensy bit more cheese and serve.
